recently a new walmart opened in my city, in a area which is mainly consisted of african americans. as we all know walmart always throws in a food center, for the shoppers. in the suburbs all the food centers are subway, but in my community its a chicken joint. is this a stereotype from walmart that all african americans love chicken, or what.

Maybe, he is only selling what he has a demand market for. He was not the one that created the demand, the clientele played the biggest role in what food is being served.

I doubt it, but it is a possibility. The walmart by my house has a McDonald's. Maybe they think all white people are fat and want McDonald's. I wouldn't think about it too hard. You don't want to become racist (in the crazy sense that everyone else is racist) and always think people are out to get you.

Yes I think it is stereotypical, although it's not in a bad kind of way, when they do county surveys and census, they calculate what the popular tastes of food is in that area. It's mostly for business reasons I think. It's kinda like expecting a taco shop to be successful in Chinatown, San Francisco, not likely right? The process is called calculating the product of interest, I believe.
