It really hasn't stopped me from spending but has slowed it down. I was going to take some of my CD and put it into new tires for my car when it matured but I am going to put it into savings instead. I have been watching my spending more closely and have made a budget. I want to be fully prepared in case of a depression. Hopefully it won't get that far. Oh and my stimulus will go into savings as well. I won't go out and spend it like it's intended to.
