They can monitor the information coming out of your computer, and if it's not encrypted (yahoo mail isn't encrypted) they could technically see what you're doing that way. Whether they will or not, is up to them. Many companies ARE, however, beginning to use programs that can monitor their employees internet traffic - that includes web-based email like Yahoo, and IMs. |

They have access to anything which you do on your computer, That is why it is your best interest to find out what you can and cannot do on your computer.
My company gets a daily report of who was on the Computer, time signed on and time signed off, and they can pull up copies of whatever you did that day.
As was once explained to me, never do anything which you wouldn't do with your boss looking over your shoulder.

No they can't... Yahoo emails don't go through corp servers... |

Umm no they can not.
There are actual legalities to this as the Yahoo account is considered yours and Yahoo's, so there is a degree of invasion of privacy there.
Now the computer is theres so they can put a keystroke monitor on it and such but that is highly unlikely...who the hell wants to go through all that?
Just be sure to log out of Yahoo when you are done. If it is a public work computer someone could very easily see your stuff if you don't log out. |
