I had them once and when my 2year contract was almost coming to end they added $15-$30 more to what I was regularly paying.
Or lately...
my friend got billed by them extra for downloading images/ringtones ,which he didn't because he deactivated his mobile internet access right there at the purchase desk when he was buying his cell.
Cingular Wireless are Crooks,that's all I have to say!!! |

You have to watch your bill VERY carefully with them - they will add things for no reason. If you call and are polite they will take things off also (even things that are legit). |

I've been with Cingular for about 3 yrs now I guess, with not a single problem...when my 2 yr contract ran out there was no change...I called a few mos ago to change to a higher minute plan of the same price, no problem and no new contract needed...never had anything on my bill that shouldn't be there...I dig the rollover minutes...customer service has always been nice if I needed them...

Sometimes they are! I bought my son a Go phone for 8th grade graduation and they double charged my bank account for $208! Everytime I called the Cingular store, the girl that waited on me was never in and no one else could help me. I had go through my bank and they are doing an investigation and have provisionally given me my money back.
But unfortunately, I am always stuck with Cingular because they everyone else out. I started with Pac Bell and it became Cingular. Then we got AT&T and Cingular bought them too. We can't get new phones or ad any more phones because they will change our contract and our AT&T contract is much better than ones Cingular has to offer. I can't switch now because most of my family had AT&T so we are all with Cingular and we save with the mobile to mobile. |

I have had T-Mobile for three years and I absolutely think they've got the best costumer service I've ever experienced with any company of any product ever. Also, T-Mobile is the only major company that offers 1 yr. contracts.
I have never heard any complaints about Cingular. They do have the best coverage and you will drop less calls. Where I live now is in a "fair - coverage" area for T-Mobile, in other words: poor signals & dropped calls. Often I connect with a Cingular signal and my signal improves exponentially. Sprint is the absolute worst. They will turn off your service for no reason and have constant over charges. I have had so many friends that've had problems with them. Verison is actually THE worst, avoid them at all costs. |
