Isn't Lehman Brothers news a matter of tension & fear for India Inc.?
Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (LBHI) bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch's acquisition by Bank of America will have a huge impact on India as both companies have a strong Indian connection.

well guys im a financial consultant in one of the Big 4 and i would suggest that you should not withdraw ur investments and would suggest that you retain it for about 2 yrs more becoz as per the forecast the recession that US is suffering will not last long and it would recover from it soon. and as per the indian stock markets are concerned i would recommend that you invest more in stocks because nowadays you will get good deals and if you invest now and retain it on long term basis then ull ht gold because the forecast tells that in 2010 the SENSEX would cross 25,000 mark.

Both are investment bankers and the end result had been expected long back. Many more to follow. This is a depression cycle and bound to happen naturally.
When a developed economy hits hard by recession and depression, even the weaker ones and the developing countries like India, feel the heat and the after effects are with high intensity, driving our economy towards inflation and depression.
But, India is strong and its citizens have faced much worse conditions and have guts to face even the worse ones. There is nothing much to bother. We can take care.

Now is the time to invest more than ever. Stock prices are low, and companies need the financial backing of the shareholders.

Everyone complains when the market goes bad, but then they all yank their investments as well. Think about that folks. We can't get back on top with out taking a risk.

Oh, and I don't think the Lehman Bros. or Merrill acquisition will have as big of an impact as people think if everyone followed the advice already given.

Granted, we need better leadership in the corporate world before things can truly turn around, but hey...its a start.
