Arbitrage
|
You can argue that many products are "just water." Coffee, tea, soda, and so on. Yet all of those are multi-billion dollar industries. The "little bit" of flavor is always going to make the difference for drink products.
Jamba has a good marketing scheme and a good atmosphere in the stores. More importantly, they're copied the McDonald's concept of making sure the stores are in the best location possible to maximize traffic.
The drinks are marketed as relatively healthy, so you can win over consumers from that angle. Different people have different tastes, so you can't really argue based on that. They were recently purchased by some Service conglomerate, so they're being pushed to expand to generate more revenue for the parent company. |

Because not everyone thinks like you do. Many people enjoy the product. That's how you get expansion. |

It's a trendy concept and marketed well. It's just like how so many people think Starbucks coffee is way overpriced and yet Starbucks is everywhere. Jamba Juice stores tend to be in high-foot-traffic locations, they're quick service, just upscale enough to be "above" fast food and give an impression of healthy living. |

really?? i've never had chunks of ice in my jamba juice. what did you order? maybe the person who made yours was incompetant. try it again at a different location, and go with someone who goes there a lot and will know what's good. |
