There are more reasons than I can list. They ignore environmental concerns (except when there's PR involved, and they'd benefits from LOOKING like they cared), and they treat their workers badly - more of their employees are on welfare and medicaid than any other large employer in the country.

Also - they are famous for going into small-ish economic areas, setting up camp, undercutting ALL the mom and pop stores in town, and after the economy collapses after most of the small business go under, they just pack up and build somewhere else - leaving an smoking economic black-hole in their wake. |

unfortunally not only wall mart but almost every store sells chinese stuff that aren't very good quality.
Obviously some places carries good chinese made stuff, but wal mart just sell things a little bit cheaper that aren't good at all.
The quality of people who shops there aren't very educated. |

Yeah me too. I refuse to shop at walmart for anything besides toiletries. They are rude, don't get paid enough to care about the customer, it's usually so crowded with large people that you just get irritated that you can't get any where in the store without running into people.... lots of screaming kids who are usually sick... it's like sitting in the welfare office... seriously... and their cheap chinese goods, just lure more people in who can't afford things. |

After Japan, we are mostly in debt to China. China keeps us from economic collapse. Don't feed the bite that hands you.
I will say this though, maybe it's a sign of the recession, but they seemed to have hired grumpy old women that try to avoid eye contact as greeters these days.. at least that's what I see locally. |

How about, they started out marketing Made by Americans for Americans.
They set up contracts with many small manufacturers who reved up their operations and took on tremendous debt to service them. WalMart then pulled the contracts and went overseas leaving all these guys hanging out and going bankrupt. However, they never had an ad campaign that said we are no longer made by Americans for Americans.
