Lifelock, is it the biggest irony or what?
I always thought it was pretty stupid for the CEO to put his social security number in their ads, but I took it as confidence in their company like the ad said. I signed my family up after reading up on them. Now, I just read that his identity was stolen and their service didn't work at all. As a matter of fact, they are being sued by a bunch of customers. THe big irony is that I just received an email from them saying that they have added new features for free to make membership even better, such as online protection, etc. Minutes after readying the email in my yahoo account, I read the story about the lawsuits on the main Yahoo page. How did this happen? Did they always know that their program was a load of crap?

All Lifelock does is notify the three major credit bureaus to put fraud alerts on your reports, which you can do for free. They do this the first month. They continue to charge $10 per month. I don't see what they do the second, third, etc. months but they still charge you $10 for each month.
Read the fine print. Their $1MM guarantee doesn't actually cover problems and costs related to identity theft, only a failure by Lifelock to provide the service.

Yeah, it is pretty funny. I just read that too, and I think the company will be out of business shortly.. Sorry, but you might want to cancel your service (if that is possible).

Tacgnol
No, Plavix (heart medicine) is - It's shown it can increase your chances of having a heart attack rather than reducing it.

But they still advertise it.

It was jut a matter of time before someone tried to steal that guy's identity.

It seemed like he thought his program really worked though for him to put his number out there, eh?

x0000000009
I was surprised that the SS number on their commercials REALLY is his personal SS number. Seems that all they really do is check your credit report each day.

Hysterical!

I don't think the program is a load of crap. Of course people are going to try to steal the identity since his social was put out there like that. Even with the protection of a service like that there is still only such much that can be done. For example, the DMV doesn't run a credit check so there is no way that the service can protect from that. IDK- I'm not sure the service is all it's cracked up to be but I'm not sure that they've committed fraud.
