neither. nothing but "tools" working there, at least in nh, vt, and id. plus their lumber sucks, and they have their tools made cheaper, with plastic parts only available through home depot or lowes. you might get a better price at your local lumber yard, as well as guaranteed better service. |

~~I prefer Lowes. It's clean, bright, and has a great variety of home products. ALso, I like their customer service.
My husband is a contractor and prefers Home Depot. He says Lowes does not provide enough of what he has to buy and their prices are much higher.
So, there are two different opinions from opposite genders :)~~ |

To be honest I'm not a fan of either. But unfortunately Wal-Mart doesn't carry everything you need sometimes. The general feedback I get is that Lowes is more customer oriented and cleaner. I haven't noticed any real differences while shopping at either, but if most people feel Lowes is cleaner and friendlier, I'd probably choose Lowes. |

The one closest to my home. I used to always go to Home Depot because it was within a couple of miles of thy home. I relocated. Still, the nearest one was Home Depot, though an half hour away. But, last year, they opened a Lowes 15 minutes from the house. So, now it's Lowes.
I find the stores are basically the same. |
