Mcdonalds employees?

Im 14, i applied for a job at mcdonalds online....how long does it normally take for the manager to set up an interview? Also, what is the chance of a minor like me with a work permit getting hired?

Ok, I used to be a manager at Mcdonalds. I would hire a 14 year old IF he came in applied. Then about a week later would call in or betterr yet came in and said, I filled out an application on such and such date and would just like to check the status of that application. If they dont hire you, check back once a month. Good luck! Its nice to see a young person that actually wants to work!

To be honest, I think you almost need a 14 year old to function with a earphones and the kitchen crew shouting. I say if you are 21 years old, you are approaching "over the hill status." Seriously, you have nothing to worry about at McDonald's. They are a first class company and you will learn a lot about production process works. You will have a new respect for work after this summer. Further, you will not be one those people who degrades fast food workers as "burger flippers." I really hate that phrase. At least, those kids and young adults are willing to work. You are a good kid who will be a better kid after this summer. Now, remember to work hard when you return to school.

Depends on how bad they need the help. It took them 2 days to call my daughter...you should be ok to work with a workers permit.

i think you have to be at least 16 to work at McDonald's. so they probably will not set up an interview with you because you are only fourteen.

I thought you had to be 16 to get a work permit but maybe I'm wrong. I would call or go in to check on your application. They don't always contact you. If you can't get a job you can always get a paper route.
