That depends on many things: your age, your sex, your state of mind, etc. A guideline might be that the IQ of an average individual would be between 100 and 110. So, to answer your specific question as to weather 50 is high or not, no, 50 is rather low. |

Each type of I.Q. test has a different range of scores.
And they are very different one compared to another. 50 for many tests is extremely low. (on many tests extememly retatrded). But you sound like an intelligent fellow and can read and write. Therefor the test that you did has low ranges for normal, superior and gifted.
Paper tests are not as accurate as I.Q. tests done with a psychologist. Ask the test people/administrators about the details of your test and your particular score. If you are not happy with theuir explanation consider taking a wechsler-Belleview test with a psychologist (W.I.S.C. if you are young.)
I.Q. does not measure every personal asset that is valuable, or helpful. E.g. creativity, business sense, mechanical aptitude, or the ability to learn foreign languages etc. etc.
