My boss is an idiot... He won't pay me overtime hours unless i ask for it which i think is wrong.. he should just do it. He also doesnt give me pay slips each week or at all. I have been working for him for 2 years and i havnt got ONE pay slip. he says he doesnt have time. He is just a tight ****. What should i do |

I'm not to sure where your work. It to me doesn't sound like you work in a big office or anything like like, I would be very worried about your employer not contributing to your pensions, and unemployment. I'm from canada, and I prepare taxes for indiviual peopls. and I've seen it so many times before where the employer doesn't remit, any deductions from the employees cheque, so, they essentially, have but haven't contributed to their retierment, instead the boss is pocketing your part of the deductions. . and it's a long long battle.
Maybe you should phone, CRA ( canada ) or IRS (usa) and just inquire to whether or not they have you on file for that place of employment.
On a more relaxed level, I think I would start looking for another job. You should be able to trust your employer and not have to constanly be watching to make sure you don't let your guard down, or you'll get ripped off. It's totally not fair, and No one deserves that. |

All those t hings are major no-nos to ANY state department of labor. Contact your state's and let them know what's going on. They'll set it straight. He's required by law to pay you overtime. |

Does he pay you and you claim it for taxes on a 1099?
Is he the boss for a company or the owner? (Call the company)
If he is the boss...Report him to your local/state Dept of Labor...that will shake him up and probably get you fired and then you'll have another claim on him.
Have proof to back your time worked and his lack of pay....do you have a timecard...witnesses....etc.
Seek help if the amt is large that is due.

It is illegal not to give your employees their payslips, you should confront him about this. Also if heis paying you cash in hand you need to think about your tax. |

you should report him as if anything were to go wrong you ay need that pay slip and also you may as well ask for the over time rather than not get it at all an if you don't want to ask don't do over time as your wasting your time |

Who is in charge of admin? Is it just him?
If there is a department it is them you need to speak to.
Otherwise what he is doing is illegal and he can get into trouble for not following procedure.
