My company closes on bank holidays but my employer does not pay us as we only work 16 hours per week?
I'm guessing that you want to know when you're going to be paid? I think that it's Federal law (or maybe just state law) to pay you the day before.
Example: I get paid on the 15th and the 31st. If the 15th is either a holiday or falls on a weekend, I get paid the previous business day of the 15th.

Sounds like you are a part time employee, and you are not eligible for any holiday pay.

If its not your contracted day to work, then your employee doesn't have to pay you.

You are part time therefore you do not get paid for holidays unless you work on holidays. Also if you are talking about getting paid on holidays then you will either get paid day before or after the holiday.
