Mystery shopping jobs?
Are they even REAL? I've heard a lot about them, and I know when I worked in retail as a teenager they would always warn us about myster shoppers, but are there actually any legit companies that do this around? I haven't found any...
Marketing Research companies does lots of mystery shopping / service chain assessments for their clients, on project basis. If you like to enter this industry, you would need some understanding of service marketing.
Joining a market research firm would be "safer" than those people running one off survey or mystery shopper project, in return of gift and reinbursement for your product / service consumption.

yes they are real, I do them all the time with my wife. sometimes you have to buy things or pay for your meal but you get reimbursed and you get extra money. i joined this website http://www.surveypolicy.com they provide you with a list of mystery shopping recruiters. it's a good place to start.

Nope. Most mystery shopper adds require you to "fill out a survey" that actually intails you having to buy crap from several companies before you get the gift certificate. You have to have a lot of money in order to be a mystery shopper. This proves that nothing in life is ever free.

I used to work commision sales for a large electronics corporation and I was personally shopped 2 times. So yes there are legit companies out there but the online ones are nothing but a rip off or any other place that expects you to pay to get work.

many times a company will ask employees from store "A" to go into store "B" and see how things are running...I've done that for a company I worked for several times...especially if they are getting alot of complaints about a certain store...as for a company that has mystery shoppers go into different store...I don't believe it...sounds like a scam to me
