Making a plan helps guide your progress. It also gives you direction so that you stay on task. And when you stay on task, you complete your project. It's also important to set deadlines as well.

It's important to plan and have your plan written down in either a list or some other format so that you can easily check off each task as you do it:
1) you don't waste time trying to remember what to do next,
2) you don't forget to do anything, and
3) as you take the time to plan, some ideas may come to mind as to the most efficient way to get certain tasks done.
