What do you think will happen to their sites? Surely not food supermarkets, there so many of those already. Converted to housing? I don`t think so in this property situation. What then? Charity shop megastores?
The shops will be changed into different things, probably depending on the area. Some areas might need houses or flats. Some areas might need supermarkets. Some stores will be taken over by others - Argos or Tescos might take a few of the stores. And some of the smaller stores might turn to charity shop mega-stores or large gyms or swimming pools.

Some will be brought out by supermarket chains, Iceland, the small express tescos etc. Others will be brough out by pound shops and charity shops. The rest will probabily turn into discount stores like Matalan, Tk maxx, Tj hughes, wilkinsons etc. They were woolworths competitors, all offer the same stock for less money.
