You can complain about the beer, but we have a 50% market share, so someone is drinking it.
AB is the best company to work for and they are consistently rated in the top for employee pay and benefits.
Coors/Miller is foreign owned too, by the way.
Who is going to feel sorry for you when your company is owned by Europeans who want to slash jobs and costs?
Good beer or not, none of us deserve to have InBev come in and cut our jobs out from underneath us.
Petitions are lame, but maybe it will make a tiny difference...somehow.

Why was there no drive to prevent Miller Beer from being bought by a foreign country business ?
There are NO loyalties to a country or employees (at all levels) in any business; individual, alliances,partnerships,mergers, unless the profit and loss goes into the red or enough people boycott due to negative publicity. This is why manufacturing and service jobs are being outsourcing/offshoring.
Enough jobs have been outsourced/offshored transforming the USA into a service provider than manufacturer. Real wealth is in production. Also this has internally weakened the nation since few wages are keeping up with the cost of living thus the recession. Need proof that to verify my opinion ? The stimilus checks from the IRS, help for those behind mortgage payments,helping companies from the finance sector,and too numerous to write.

Yup. It is very sad. I hope it does not happen. On the other hand, we only have ourselves to blame. If someone comes a long and offers more for your shares than they are worth, and you seel them to a foreigner (Not that I an saying you yourself would do this!), then you lose control over a domestic firm. |

There are hardly any manufacturing companies left in our Nation!
These were the backbone of America, it is what made us strong. The skills and trades in these jobs can never be replaced and once they are gone, how much more dependent does that make America on foreign production and Government control.
It is almost as if America is being systematically dismantled and destroyed from the inside out, but the rich chicken necks in this country are only worried about greed and profit.

Anheuser-Busch possibly selling out is a scary thought. I, myself, no longer drink but its not whether you do or don't. Its as about assuring that American Business keep America Strong. It reminds me of Lee Iacocca's newest book "Where have all the Leader's Gone?" If Anheuser-Busch sells out it will be a shame.
If Anheuser-Busch is having financial issues, then eliminate dead product lines or something. DON'T SELL OUT TO FOREIGN COMPANIES!!!!! Find a US investor if you want to sell out.
