I would say that if your company has set some sort of date for closing down, then it's already beyond rescue. That in mind, the only "ideas" that might be worth coming up with are calling dibs on various pieces of office equipment that you might want when the company does start to liquidate.

Hi,Perhaps the employees could work for lower wages.It would keep a pay check coming in and you will have money to live on and company will stay afloat till change in economy.Also maybe shorter work week or rotation of people.You all should have a meeting and discuss these issues. Good Luck

6 months before my company folded we had weekly, and towards the end, bi-weekly meeting to "figure out a way to get out of this." I was privy to the fact these meetings were supposed to be a psychological ease to the others. I found that to be misleading and searched for a job while others were looking for a way to be solvent.
TIP: Update your resume, and make sure you qualify for unemployment - its gonna be a bumpy ride.
