Panosonic Warrinity there courier smashed it up now they only want to give us 50% off another one?
Are Panosonic combination oven Microwave microave element stopped so as it was under warinity they organised a courier to pick it up after them not turning up and arriving wrong days they collected it. Now the Courier have tended it and broke the door off and panosonic have said its unfixable and have only offered us 50% off another microwave? Any views and is that fair?
take it further and sue the courier for damage. or insist you are taking it further to the company

the courier should have a way to replace the item. That would be the way to go.
PALADIN
I believe that the courier is responsible, for the difference, if not the whole cost of another microwave. When they accepted the item they had an obligation to use "ordinary care" in the handling. Obviously, with a broken door the courier was negligent.
File a claim with them and if they refuse to pay, inform them both ( the courier and Panasonic) that you intend to pursue the matter in Small Claims Court.
Maid Angela
The courier firm is liable for the extra cost and you can ask them for compensation. If they refuse threaten to issue proceedings in the county court. On the other hand you could write to Panasonic and point out to them that the courier firm was arranged by them so they were acting as agents for that firm so they are responsible and should deal with the problem. That argument is a little iffy but it may well get Panasonic to decide you are not worth arguing with and then they may deal with it. After all what is the small amount of cost to them against the loss of goodwill

sue the courier, or ask panasonic to refund, and they claim off the courier. that might be less time consuming
