Please answer this statement as being true or false and tell why it is true or false. A man goes into a?
Casino with only one hundred dollars. He has no credit cards or credit and no access to any funds for that day. He plans to play roulette. Therefore he has a huge advantage. He can only lose one hundred dollars. But there is no limit to how much he can win.
it's true, but his advantage is not that huge. unless he is really good at picking his numbers. there is no limit to how much he can win. it is also false. he can lose more than 100. it depends on how much he wins. it is also the dumbest question i have ever heard.
Yubious
Fasle- there is a limit cos if he loses the 100 dollars, then he cant win anymore!

False:
Of his own money the most he could loose is $100, however say he won $5,000 then his potential downside or loss is $5,100, and that is the "Most he could loose".
Also Roulette is a house game and has a HUGE advantage to the house.

False.
This is typical gamblers "Addictive Thinking".
He can lose one hundred dollars, & along with it the ability to sustain himself & his family for a week or more, plus what he may need to pay for his trip home, not to mention his pride, & dignity.
In most Casinos today you get to stay, & play, & win in their establishments until they say you can't, not to mention that even Casinos have their limits as to how much they can pay out.
So the statement is False.
jozzie
true ...he will only loose the original $100 dollars of his own money anything he wins and loses after that is only a bonus or chance

True statement.
There is no way he can lose more than a hundred cause he's only got a hundred dollars no matter what - therefore he can't lose any more.
There is no limit to how much he can win - that's the allure of gambling - there is no limit to how much you can win, even if the chances are remote - there's still a chance.
There is one segment that is false and that is about Roulette. It's a notorious killer at the casino - the only casino game that the player had a better than 45% chance of winning is blackjack - it's an even 50-50. Craps is only 30%, roulette is closer to 28% and poker is 45% if playing exclusively with the dealer.
