It depends on what the law is in Florida, but you may face some kind of small action. If this is your first offense, you may not get fired but reprimanded somehow. Does your company have progressive discipline? By that you have kind of a verbal warning, then written warning, and then final written, etc.? The sex offender may try to also take action on you on a personal level. Just keep quiet from now on. |

If it's on a website, then you should be ok. Never admit to telling her and that she saw it herself... Also get out of there yourself... any company that would hire this sort of person knowingly has it's own issues. |

do you actually know what he was charged of? as far as you know he might have had sex when he was 18 and she was 17 and got cought.. You just don't know.. but at the same time I would not ever let him be alone with my child.. You don't know and with out knowing you can really mess up someones life.. I would just say keep your mouth shut until you know but be weary of him and don't let your child or any child be around him with out someone else being there. |

pull him up on the sheriff's web site, get all the information you can on him..
and if the company tries to mess with you..talk about a large law suit with them..
then get yourself a real good attorney if they fire you..
also contact the sheriff's department and ask them a few questions..they are usually very helpful in this situations of sexual offenders..
friend in flroida..
Good Luck |

I think your co workers should be extremely careful about YOU..........You seem to be the kind of pervert that would attack a child. |

I wouldn't think you can get in trouble for tell a co-worker about this guy, after all it is public knowledge and that's why he has to register so people around him is aware |

You should be ok, but the laws differ per state. They could just be trying to scare you. |

Fight it. If his sexual offence was aganst a child he should'nt be in any close contact with a minor & she have told your co-worker. Even if some action is taken against you sleep easy you may have saved the innocence of a child. Good Luck, Keep us posted! |

That sucks. I would definately alert people who bring children to the office. That's probibly all I'd do.
I don't think you can get fired for pointing something out that is true. If I got fired for that, I'd sue the company. |

No you can't. First go back to the web site and see what kind of offence he did. Just kinda stay out of he's way and whjatnot. Because if he served his time he can't be fired if he was hired |
