Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust?
I live in Peru and want to know how much it costs to have a maintenance service for a datejust Rolex wich is running perfectly. I wonder if it needs some changes( o-rings, seals, lube) after 9 years and how much this costs (average). In Peru this service is quite expensive.
In the US the base charge is 455.00 which includes all parts except hands and a new dial should you decide to get them. If the lume is disintegrating they may require new hands and dial as a condition of service. Hands are 65.00 and a new dial is 280.00 The base price also includes polishing the case and bracelet.
I have no idea what it would cost in Peru but Rolex is fairly consistent world wide, allowing for currency variation it will probably be in the same area.

A watch is a mechanical device requiring lubrication and needs to be serviced approx. every five years. If you can't afford to maintain a mechanical watch - then buy a quartz.

$500 is the typical full service on your watch. My wife and I have had ours for years, and we have started to just send them in when they start keeping poor time.
I have sent mine in on average once every 10 years, and she has sent hers in once every 7 years.
I have friends who just send them in when they stop working. The cost is almost the same, and remember, you'll be without your watch for upwards of 6-8 weeks when you send it in!

A real Rolex never needs maintenance....I have had one for 20 yrs and its still going strong.....
