It really depends on why. If it happens once because of a tragic circumstance no one will say anything but if you cry on a regular basis for goofy reasons then its a problem. |

Depending on the reason. If there is a death in the immediate family and you just found out about it, I would give it about a 3 or 4. Any other reasons would go to a 1 because it is very inappropriate to cry at work. |

Depends on the circumstances. There were a couple situations when our department lost someone to an unexpected death - many people were in tears when it was announced, and nobody thought it was inappropriate.
On the other hand, if somebody just said something to hurt your feelings, it would be highly inappropriate to cry at work. If you can't help it, try to get out of sight first. |

Nobody wants to watch you cry, if you're going to be crying for the remainder of the day, i suggest leaving early if possible. You're in a professional environment, so you have to keep it professional, especially if you're dealing with customers. |

Unfortunately, very inappropriate. So if 10 is the worst, then 10. But, most chics do it at least once in their career, so don't beat yourself up about it Just work on finding your no-cry switch - whatever it is that you do to keep from crying at work. Play a song in your head, pinch your thigh, whatever. |
