The simple answer is "credability and perception"! No other reason unless the lord has businees clients, connections or experience! |

Yes, lots of board members have the title Sir or Lord before they join boards of directors.
Some people get their title because of their work on a board of directors, others get them for other reasons, someone with a title might bring advantages to the board. |
