Please everyone watch out for this scam. I received a cashier's check in the mail yesterday in the amount of $4,998.00 for a shopping spree. They tell you to deposit the check & spend it at the locations of their choice. For example 50.00 at Wal-Mart & then they want you to do a money gram. I called the bank on the check & they say it is a scam. I also reported it to my local police department. I just want everyone to know that they can trace the check back to your bank account & wipe you out.....

I just recieved the check. I thought "I really could use this. I tried to call the number 1-905-699-5801 but could not get thru. Then I thought where is their web address.. No web address. That's strange. I am so glad that I checked on-line. The check looked so real.I am looking to do mystery shopping so if anybody know a real company out there please let me know. . can these people continue with this scam now that we know????

definitely a scam. i had signed up to be a secret shopper about a month or so ago. i so thought it was legit. not hardly. i called the number on the check and they said funds were available. then i deposited the check. the more i thought about the more i thought how dumb i was. the next morning i called my bank to let them know i thought it was a scam, because i had searched the internet for anything about the company and couldnt find squat. but i did find a list of legitimate secret shoppers list. shopping perspective inc wasnt on it. a friend of mine at my bank tole me the check was counterfeit and put a hold on it. i also found out secret shopper companies will never ask you to wire money or send moneygrams. the site for the list of companies is

Thanks alot for posting this. I just got the same thing in the mail and I decided to check online first before I called and i came to your warning first thing. It told me enough, had a feeling it was some kind of scam. Well be taking it to my local police station myself. It just felt like a scam when they send that amount to someone they don't even know.
