| Should I feel guilty that I shop at Walmart? |
I have been feeling guilty because I have been hearing more things about Walmart being very corrupt. They have been been putting large amounts of people out of business and treat their workers badly. My family and I are lower middle class so we are in a bind here. What store should we start going to that don't have corruption. I like lower prices but not if it means supporting corruption. |

I would not feel guilty.
Walmart cannot help that they put other businesses out of business. The other businesses just cannot compete with the great offers that Walmart has. Walmart will give those people jobs too!
I love Walmart and wish they would hurry up and open the Supercenters that are planned for my area. |

Try Target. Although I know the prices at Wal Mart are much cheaper for lots of things that we buy, Target is almost as cheap, and they are not bad for the economy. |

I'm in the same boat I end up there more than I would like. Do to funds that is were I go tho because money wise it is the right choice. Although not everything is cheaper at walmart. If walmart was to vanish I would not have problem. What I really hate is I can drive in 4 directions from my house and hit a walmart in less than 5 miles in each way. |

In a free market economy, stores that offer the best prices, products and services are the ones that thrive. If they are dishonest, that is a reason to avoid them, but I don't think that is true. The reason other stores have closed up is that they couldn't offer the same quality products and service at the same price as Walmart. If you like the store, shop there guilt-free. |

I know how you feel. I hate shopping at walmart but find that all the other stores in my area dont carry all the things that I need to get to eat healthy so I end up just going to Walmart. |
