They usually send you a survey after the call. You can report him that way. |

Nah, don't bother. It's a waste of your time. Just be glad you got what you needed and move on. He will be dealt with eventually by his manager if he is not doing his job. They evaluate and listen in on calls periodically at those type of jobs so he will probably cause someone to notice that he is not providing the best customer service possible. And maybe he isn't allowed to do what you asked. Who knows. Just move on. Cheers |

Ha, I've certainly had that happen to me plenty. People at software companies refuse to listen to you and will make you take an extra hour to walk through basic steps that a small child could do. Very frustrating. Look out for this at companies that bill for customer support! As for Dell, I would say that for the most part they are trained to do their job in a specific way, and sometimes these employees aren't the most qualified and feel more confortable using the script. Also, you might have just gotten a new employee. I would say let him be. |

Your problem is fixed, don't worry about it, not worth the trouble and aggravation. I come to conclusion that many of them don't know and that is why they stick to the script. All in all unless he was just blatantly rude don't waste your time. |

I don't think anything would change there. They are going to tell you to make sure your power is on, make sure it is plugged in, try restarting, blah blah blah. I had the same problem with another computer company. I went to a manager, and got a canned apology. I would just let it go and save yourself the hassle of trying to navigate their phone tree again. I really empathize with you. |

Was the service rep rude or just plain stupid? I personally tend not to complain unless the person is really rude to me. Otherwise, I assume it was miscommunication and let it go. It can also be a pain to find the email to report them to, so unless I'm really angry, I rarely do anything. |

Well if you knew the problem why didnt you do it yourself. Customer Service Reps have procedures they have to follow and steps they have to take - if you dont like them doing their job then do it yourself. Stop being such a tattle tale whiner - suck it up and leave the poor customer service rep alone. All he was doing is his job |
