doesn't matter how much you make you work for your money
that said no one should have to work unsafely (is that a word) if you have no "skills" i would encourage you to join a union of some sort they start with lower pay but you learn and earn alot more i am an IBEW worker when i started 10yrs ago we made 9something an hr now i make 36an hour and the first year people make 40% of our wages and every 6months get a raise. plus i have medical and dental as well as an awesome retirement and its a trade i will alwys be able to work |

Well, you should always be a good steward of what you have been given. If you sign up for job like that, stick with it, at 60 hours a week, that is overtime, if they aren't paying overtime, then they aren't being legal. |

Regardless of the situation a job is a job. I worked the majority of my "work" life in production and assembly getting paid no more then $8 per hour. The hours and hard work was endless but hey it paid the bills and took care of my family.
Believe me... it gets better, be patient - Hard work eventually pays off. Everyone has to start somewhere.
Personally... if I had no other choice I would go back to production. I am at a good place in my life now. |

I'd suggest you get a job at a grocery store, library, or local recreation department. Avoid the heavy-lifting and the fast food places. Start taking classes at the local community college and get your associates degree in something interesting and then go on to a 4-year college and get your degree.
Good luck,

Always do your best. No matter what the job is, no matter how much you get paid, no matter how much the company doesn't respect you. If you don't like your pay, it is up to you to get qualified for and then go get a better job. Slacking off keeps you where you are - slacking off for minimum wage.
If you always do your best, you will maximize your chances of getting a promotion, a good recommendation or a call from a former boss who has moved on and remembers you and needs someone with the special character of the employee that everyone wants.
If you always do your best you will be learning all you can, developing skill, developing maturity and wisdom. Otherwise, you are trapped in a competition with bosses, in which you try to do as little as possible while bosses try to squeeze a day's work out of your reluctant and aging body. You can't win that competition because there is no winner. And you will always be in near-minimum wage jobs, with bosses that have no qualifications for of skill at the art of supervision and management and no respect for you.
I'm not the first person to tell you to always do your best. You heard it first in kindergarten. Remember? |

The best option is to get an education. We all have to start somewhere "breaking our backs", if you work a little harder on the side by getting an education you will work with you mind not your body. Plus you will end up making a lot more money in the long run. |

The thing is, you won't be making $10.00 an hour after they take taxes out, and even the $7.50 will be taxed. Sorry!. But if I were you, I would not quit my job until I find another first. Good luck. |
