Microsoft does not have $200 Billion. They just have $44 Billion on net tangible assets.

This means they would have to borrow over $150 Billion just to buy Wal-Mart and that means paying a lot of money to banks in interest rates.

If you consider Wal-Mart is the 8th most profitable company in the World with $11 Bilion in profits Last Year it would take many decades to pay off that loan.

Asuming Microsoft gets a loan at 5.0% it would have to pay $7.5 Billion each year in interests and that would reduce by more than half the cash at hand to expand to every country in the World and that would reduce growth a lot. Wal-Mart is only in 15 countries. So there is plenty of room to grow.

It makes no economic sense to buy Wal-Mart to Microsoft. Even if they eventually pay off the entire loan that money can be used to buy 10 smaller companies at $15 Billion each growing faster than Wal-Mart or making more more than Wal-Mart or both.

In contrast, Chevron Texaco costs only $140 Billion and it makes $14 Billion every year.

ConocoPhillips costs only $92 Billion and it makes $13 Billion every year.

Can you imagine the profits if Oil hits $100?

It is more likely an Oil Company will buy Microsoft unless you buy a 1999 (Or newer) Volkswagen New Beetle (Or any other model) with a DIESEL engine.

Microsoft doesn't have the cash to take over WalMart. Walmart is the biggest company in the worls now. The ral question is' "Will Walmart eat Microsoft?"

They couldn't even if they wanted to. The real question should have been, "Should I have my head examined"
