Should Old Navy store prices be the same as online prices?
Before going to my local Old Navy store, I looked up the prices of this pair of plaid shorts online. The shorts were originally $30, but they were listed online as $15. When I went to the store, however, they charged me $30 and told me that they don't have to go by the online prices. Is this true? Should I have only been charged $15? Does it say something like this in Old Navy's company policy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :-)

Old Navy's online store often have different sales than the actual store. For example the item of the week in the store might be a different item of the week online. If you pay attention on the website it tells you that(but it is in really fine print)..lol. But it has always been that way. So just return it and order it online but you will have to pay the $5 shipping.

(1) Old Navy promotional sale prices change on Fridays, so if you looked at the website on a Thursday for example, and then went into the store on the weekend, the prices could have changed within that time.

(2) The shorts you looked at online could have been a different SKU number than the ones you bought in the store.
For example, one pair of khaki shorts is not the same as another -- the difference could be in the pocket design, cuffed, buttons, etc. And not all shorts are the same price.

(3) Did you see any signs for the sale price when you bought the shorts? Don't expect them to ring up on sale if there was no sign, just b/c you saw the price online.

(4) We do not have to match the online prices. If you werent satisfied with the cashier's answer, you could have asked to speak to a manager, and they could have looked at oldnavy.com to verify the price you saw. It would be up to them to price-adjust your merchandise.

(5) Anything purchased in the store qualifies for a price adjustment with 14 days, so if your shorts go on sale in the next 2 weeks, make sure you have your receipt with you in order to get back the difference.

IDK. But I think that the online price should be higher since you have to give them you address so you can wait forever to get you merchandise. What a rip.

I personally don't think thats right.

I think the price should be the same, if anything it should be more online and less in the store.

Buff Me
i think it should be cheaper online.

alot of stores sell items cheaper on the computer than in there actual store.
