Running taps is an old barman's trick to get people out. They get the subliminal urge to go to the toilet and then disapear
Connection there?
I have never bought anything in there so don't know, but I can imagine they don't want people hanging around taking up space and not buying anything
They charged for the water for survivors in 9/11 but they don't mind throwing it down the drain all day
They will never make a penny out of me, I prefer coffee from a good old fashioned British cafe |

There is another question on this, where the asker has asked if starbucks should be made to contribute to water projects in other countries. What a very good idea.
Personally, I think we should boycott them because:
1. They charge insane prices for a drink
2. You cannot just go in and ask for coffee, you have to ask for some stupid drink (tall, decaf, latte, grande, machichino or whatever)
3. I am British, can't I just have a milky coffee or, horrors, a cup of earl grey, and not pay best part of a fiver for it?
These reasons are why I do not go, ever, but I do laugh at their price list from time to time. |

Well, yeah. Then again, I have a *slight* bias against Starbucks. I would really admire them, though, if they decided to turn off those taps! |
