Should Sunday be dropped as a holiday?
Except for schools, all the public holidays should also be dropped. Christmas should have one 1 holiday. Imagine the work productivity will it improve in the corporate sector. I understand the corporate sector is already hectic but making it mandatory will only result in progress and more money.

Life isn't all about the money. Rethink your priorities.

Really?

A lot of corporations work 24/7 these days anyway, just allowing their employees to take the holidays at other times - is that what you mean?

Getting rid of Sundays and Public holidays is frankly a terrible idea, the majority of people work to live and there would be absolute uproar if that were to happen.

You would create a very miserable workforce and I daresay this would affect productivity.

Also whats the point in only allowing schools to keep the holidays? Children have parents who have to work and it's already hard enough to care for them without adding extra days where you are required to work.

In my opinion it's a terrible idea!

agnishul
You forgot one thing dude, healthy entertainment, relaxation, spending time with ones family is all part of the corporate sector for increasing efficiency during work. Working at 100% efficiency for 5 days is better than working at 60% efficiency for 7 days. Less efficiency and lack of motivation would result in less productivity and inturn loss of business due to inabilty to meet demands.
Untill and unless you are a robot or a computer no one can work without the lazy sunday holidays.

That concept is still in progression. 30 years ago almost NOTHING was open on Sundays, now you can still run about half of your errands.
