I've personally always known that I want my own business from being very young, which is why i'm in a crappy position at the moment after uni to decide what i want to do in the meantime to get the funds to set up my business...i want to be my own boss and not be told what to do and have to hold myself back.

No, most people need that steady pay check. If you can adjust to getting paid whenever, they you can think about it. Most people go to pieces without a biweekly paycheck.
