i hear people on the news say that what people (the public) dont understand is that it actually wont cost us anything.
yeh right, where do the gov get their money from? how can we not suffer one way or another?
without wanting to sound too ignorant, i dont think that nobody can pay...so if its not nobody, then who? the gov? thats us the taxpayers.
ok, we may suffer for now because of the big hole in the economy (more than 100 usd for every man woman and child on the planet), but it HAS to happen some time...the debt is still there... didnt anyone think it was odd thet they were usually earning more just by living in their house than they did working? where was the production, the 'worth'? its all make believe.
make them all pay. i know it sounds like i want a witch hunt, but then they have, as i understand, been praying on us and really taking the p*** with it too. id be happy to lose a bit of money for now to make things safer in the future. and if 'wall st or wherever' was aware of the personal consequences of their actions, they might think twice before they act. though i doubt that they could cough up anything close to 700 billion, their money would help us in more ways than one
and what about a return to gold standard? i dont truely get that one...to me, anything else seems crazy. |
