Generally, but if you are wearing a dark suit, the shirt may be more important. If you have a pinstriped shirt or suit, try not to wear a striped tie. Try going dark and light to add contrast to your shirt, but too many colors makes you look like a circus clown. |

your tie should always match your trousers . so if you're wearing a suit , yes , it should match it . |

no they don't have to. Ties are where you get to show your personality. Loud, mild, funny. |

If you can not spell, you probably can't speak either, so it really won't matter. Wear a tee shirt that says something about fishing and be done with it. |

Of course, that is the "professional look", the other way around is the 'I'm too broke to buy a matching tie' look! |

Well, it shouldn't clash with it. As much as I don't care for him, you know who is a perfect example of a real nice suit, shirt, and tie combo? Regis Philbin when he's on "Millionaire". Check that out a few times, and you'll see a good look to go for. He's got it goin' on with his look there. Clothes-wise. |

Yeah! Well at least it has to go together well with your suit, so it doesn't ALWAYS have to match. |
