That they rip the farmers who grow the coffee beans off. Americans are over here drinking cappuccinos and eating muffins while the people responsible are walking around with no shoes....How could you support a company like that????
Actually, Starbucks has gone out of it's way to make sure coffee bean farmers are treated fairly.
And can you tell me how if I stop drinking coffee, that will somehow improve the lives of those poor coffee bean farmers? Wouldn't that just make their situation worse off?
By the way, the campaign that's out there says Starbucks profits are up by 34%. Reality is quite the contrary. Net income is down by over 50% according to their public financial statements.

Sorry but you are so wrong on this. I have done extensive research on starbucks for school and they actually go out of their way to ensure that they only buy coffee beans from farms that pay their employees fair wages. Most companies would only be concerned with profit margin but starbucks is actually a company that cares about humanity.

I like the coffee from the Chevron station across the street from the local Starbucks here. Cheaper and better coffee.
