First you must register to be a panelist with these research companies. Then when a survey is required that fits your profile, they will send you an email with a link to the survey. When you complete a survey, you get compensated. Many of these companies also offers incentives to sign up, but don't confuse the registration process with an actual survey. Surveys come later.

~~I have done surveys for years. Some pay small amounts of cash, but most of them give you points for the surveys you complete. After you accumualte different amounts of points you can turn them in for merchandise, gift cards, etc. I pay for all my Bare Mineral Make-Up with points, have gotten allot of small appliances and jewelry. I also get to try new products and give surveys, but you must be a long standing member a long time before you get those offers. So yes they pay you for them, but mostly in gifts. Works for me!~~
