I think that it depends on what your style is. Target is definitely more contemporary than K-Mart, and the prices are very comparable. I think that K-Mart caters more toward older people, while Target caters to younger people, and college students. (Personally, I love Target!!!)

Target is definitely better as they usually have way more things in stock than K Mart. But I'm not surprised because Target is one of the few competitive mass producers up there with Walmart -- which is the best.
