I like target better than walmart because at walmart they hire old people and at target they hire young people. Also walmart destroys towns and make their downtow a ghost town. Target pays their employees a much more decent wage and helps employees who are students in college. Wal-Mart takes advantage of poor, desperate people.
There are 4 wal-marts in a 140 mile radius where I live, and no targets. I wish I had a choice... |

what is wrong with old people...at least they are still willing to work unlike lazy young kids...older people are more curious..plus the wal-mart i go to has allot of younger people working there..i don't know what wal-mart you go to..but i don't go around sniffing people to see how they smell..maybe its you that smells |

I loathe Wal-Mart. Not just for treating their employees bad, underpaying them, cheating them out of benefits, etc. but as a shopper, I find the store appalling. It is always a mess (our locations locally), the aisles are crowded, the store is dirty. Nobody is helpful.
I dare not venture there on the 1st or the 15th or on a weekend. It is pure pandemonium and you are forced to rub elbows w/ the dregs of society while their children run through the store screaming and wreaking havoc.
Target costs a little more but I am more than willing to pay the 5% for a better shopping experience.
(I must concede that Wal-Mart does have the best price on Red Bull and so if I must go there, I will go early morning on a weekday when the store is deserted) |

Wal-Mart is cheaper... I normally shop Target, but with the recession I think most people will be flooding back to Wal-Mart, old smelly people and all. |

It sounds like you have already made your decision, but have you considered that Target almost always locates near a Walmart. They are competitors and Target simply lets Walmart do all of expensive nasty stuff for them. That is a fact. |

I'd say Target also because they give a lot of money to Historically Black Colleges and Universities and I just like the atmosphere of Target unlike Walmart. |
