**tomtom | Tesco prices...what a rip off? |
I went to an Asian food store and found that their prices are cheaper than those of Tesco or Sainsbury...........some items by as much as 20-30%
So save youselves some money and shop around.
eg 3 packs of 1KG sugar ( Tate & Lyle) for £2.00 ie .667p per pack at this Asian store Tesco price is just over 85p per pack or so.( ie 26% more expensive in Tesco)
Even Iceland is cheaper for Milk 4 pint milk in Iceland is £1.20 and 2 * 4 pint) for £2.00.and Tesco is £1.44 for 4 pint. |

I used to think Tesco were great but i'm seriously having doubts now, they've recently put up the prices on a lot of their good cheap food that i used to buy so now it's almost premium price and was going to use the self weighing service for potatoes but the scales seemed off so i picked up a bag of their 750g potatoes and weighed it, it came out as 1kg on their scales so everyone who puts the little seal on their fruit and veg so they can scan it in quicker at the checkout could be getting ripped off if they can't get their scales to balance. |

Tescos have put there price's up, not just a couple of pence either... its disgusting. I went in there to do a shop and was charged 88p for a single pepper.. After that i never went in there. Which is a shame i do think there fruit and veg are better then everywhere else. but i cannot afford to do a week shop in there. Since the 88p pepper, i think they have now been lowered to 68p or whatever but still.. they cannot get away with ripping people off..... |

Today in Harrow Tesco, Colgate Total100ml toothpaste was £2.50 but "Temporarily out of stock". Lucky for me, because I found it for £2.03 in Superdrug and £2.00 in Wilkinson, but I bought some in Boots where it was £2.39 and a 3-for-2 offer, = £1.59 each. |
