Health Freak | Tesco query? |
I brought an item from Tesco but found out that the person I brought it for has one already.
I dont have the receipt, can I get Tesco vouchers instead do you thinK?

If the packaging has not been removed and item is still as it was bought, I would think Tesco would exchange it for something else, or give you vouchers or even your money back! It is worth a try, and they do try to please. |

All depends on what it is and, apparently, which shop manager is on duty.
I took a shirt back after the seam came undone on its first wash. Didn't keep the receipt, after all I bought it with my weekly shop and you kinda expect the quality to be ok. Anyway, the woman on the customer services till told me that in such situations it often depends on the item in question and shop manager's discretion. I think it helped that I was claiming on a £10 shirt and I happened to have at least £100's worth of shopping in the trolley. In the end they let me get another shirt. They didn't give me vouchers.
If you have a receipt I think the faulty item has to be returned within a month.. could be wrong there though. |

Depends- if it's a branded item that you could have bought anywhere then they would be within their rights to refuse. It's all about goodwill I guess- take it to Customer Services and see what happens. |

it is probably costing you more money to come online and ask, than it would to look in yellow pages, for your local branch and asking to speak with the manager theremerry christmas to all christians, happy chunukah to all jews and a peaceful new year to one and all. |

Take it to customer services. If they won't take it back I'm guesssing that if it's Tesco brand you didn't pay an insane amount for it so put it in a drawer for someone else's birthday or give it to someone for Christmas? |

If it's still on their system & it's still in its original packaging they will (more than likely) take it back in return for store credit ..... the credit can only be used on non-food items. |

argh tescos rnt customer friendly when it comes 2 no reciept so ull have 2 check with them.i tried 2 take suming bak without the reciept and they point blank refused 2 do anything-gud luck x |
