Pitch it to them as a business decision that will save them money, and improve their standing as a member of the community (IE, something that they can point to in their advertising as a Good Thing).
It's up to you to find out how it saves them money. You'll have to do some research into the costs of trash removal, recycling pickup, etc, as well as how much it costs them to get containers and packaging made of virgin material vs. recycled. As far as how it makes them a better member of the community, find out if the competition recycles, and then point out that they are lagging behind. If nobody else does, point out that they have another way to be a leader in the business community. |

Remind them that the McDonalds corporate website promotes that they recycle(http://www.mcdonalds.com/corp/values/place/enviroment/recycling.html). Since they wont listen possibly sending a message to an enviromentalist organization, state monitor or the McDonalds corporate HQ or local TV station will assist them in listening. |

What would you like them to recycle? Most McDonald's recycle grease & food waste. McDonalds is a big corporationm who have been in business for a lot of years. Everything & I mean everything is written down. Procedures & instructions for running a store.

Write you suggestion out in a letter & give it to your manager. Then forget it! So your job as asked or quit! |

Yes they do watch where the grease from the sausage and hamburgers end up in a pail and then notice someone come's and picks it up. Chances are if you buy over the counter soaps your putting this on your face that's who picks it up its call animal by products and is cheap fillers in make ups and such as well enjoy. Don't believe me ask them. |
