I had to go to Wal-Mart today (which I hate because I live in a small town and they've run the other retailers out of business. Although it felt good outside, because of the crowd in the store, it was extremely hot and humid. The cashier was sweating profusely and he told me the managers had said the fans "looked tacky". Personally, I think it's more tacky for the cashiers to drip sweat on my items. I also think Wal-Mart is abusing both their employees and their customers with some of its new policies regarding layaway and stocking of items. |

Write the main WalMart website and gripe about it and call or write OSHA and complain. This is probably the call of the store manager, or perhaps this is something that was passed down from main headquarters in Arkansas.
It's wrong to abuse Employees, and Walmart should not get to throw its weight around as it seems to, and that store manager should be repraminded if he or she insisted on such a course of action that makes the cashiers suffer in the heat. |

I think the managers are setting that rule not the corporate office. If they're going to do that, then they should turn up the AC. The corporate office probably knows nothing about what's going on at that particular store. |

firstly, Wal-Mart hasn't run any businesses out of business, consumers did that all on their own. Wal-Mart doesn't make anyone shop there. You all choose to.
secondly, if Wal-Mart treats their employees so badly, why are people quitting? why are people still applying for jobs at Wal-Mart? there are lateral employers (i.e. fast food industry, mall dpt stores, etc.) |
