1. you need to have a working bench model or a prototype.
2. you need to have detailed drawings of EVERY part that goes into the finished product. No sketches or ' this is about this big' it has to be to scale and with EXACT measurements. you may need a machinist or a mechanical engineer help with that part.
3. Find out how much each FINISHED item will cost to make. this is the 'per unit cost'.
4 hire an attorney. |

Hi. If you can, make a prototype, then get a patent. If you will have to get someone to make it for you, then your first step is to obtain the sevices of a patent lawyer. He can protect your rights while you go through the process of developing your idea. It might not be a bad idea to consult with one anyway. He could probably give you a better idea of how to proceed.
