Jane D | Ups say they delivered a parcel and have my signature but I didnt get the goods what could have happened? |
I bought and paid for goods which have been sent to me via ups They have a time and date and my signature but I honestly have not received the goods .What is the explanation ? It seems that no one can help me |
|

The explanation is this:
1) They did deliver the goods and got somebody's signature.
2) It was somebody else's signature but not yours.
Don't panic.
Call UPS - Ask for a copy of the Proof of Delivery (with signature). Verify the address delivered to. Try to make out the name. (Who has it) Someone (USUALLY) has to have signed for you for them to have dropped it off and left the package. Ask other members of your family, office, or neighbors. Tell them you are looking for a misdelivered package. People in receiving depts. usually have to sign for stuff very fast before they notice the error. Usually they just count the packages and discover any mistakes later. Mistakes however do happen. UPS is very accurate and usually they don't make very BIG ones. Chances are your package is in the same building or if not at least very close. (perhaps they drivers last stop before reaching you.)
Good Luck and Tackle this problem logically. :) |

I take it that you have checked with your neighbours that none of them have signed for it? If so then it sounds like a clear case of fraud to me. Have you seen the copy of your so called signature? If not I would ask to see it. It looks like someone else (either an employer of UPS or a neighbour) has signed for it and kept the goods. I would definately take this further with UPS and demand to see a copy of the "signed" documentation. |

Welcome To My Nightmares.

Someone either noticed them trying to deliver a package and went, signed for it, and took it
OR
They delivered it to the wrong adress and the people there signed for it, that happens all the time. |

Have you seen the signature to verify its yours. Maybe it was taken in by a neighbour or the delivery person and it been forged by one of them. |

Someone else signed for it and has gotten some free stuff! |

I would tell UPS that you never signed for anything and ask them to prove that you signed for it. You may need to get a bit irate and demand some answers in order to get what you want.
The one question that always gets results is "Can I talk to your supervisor or manager?"
BTW, was it insured at all? |

They delivered to the wrong address and someone else signed for it. Happens all the time. |

Well, I would want to see a copy of "my signature" first . Can you go to the UPS office in person ? It's harder to dismiss someone that is standing at the counter. Also, is anyone else living at your house that may have signed for it? Could it have been delivered to a neighbor's home in error? These are all questions you need them to answer, but I think the actual signature is the most telling. Picture where you actually were at the exact time and date they claim you received the goods ...that may be important later if you need to go to court over this ! |

I f you have no goods how do they have your signature?? Has someone else signed for it in your house? Has it been delivered to another address fraudulently? I suggest you phone UPS on 08457-877-877 if in the UK or got to www.ups.com If you get no joy complain to postwatch. www.postwatch.co.uk Try UPS first though!! |

You need to get the tracking number, and go to ups website and track the package, and see who signed for it. it will give u the exact date and time it was signed for. I work for fedex-and they dont require a signature, so a lot of times the package is just left at the door, and someone steals the package. |

Obviously it wasn't signed by YOU...tell them... |

Call and ask for a supervisor. You want to see the signature, and have the delivery person give you an exact description of the person who signed for it. Write down the name, time & date, phone number/extension and employee ID # of each person you query. I have seen news reports where people follow the UPS truck, and then act like they live there, and sign for a package. You need to stop whoever is doing this to not only you, but probably others as well. File a police report, as soon as you get plenty of information. Report to your local chamber of commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and if you paid by credit card - the credit card company. This is the primary reason that I insist on having deliveries from ONLY the US Postal Service, and make sure that my packages are insured, and require my signature, with a federal employee requiring my drivers' license photo and signature. Violating those rules would be a federal offense. You may also want to contact a local consumer reporter newscaster, who is probably putting a story like this together, and would appreciate your facts. You are not alone - there is remedy for this. Have a healthy and happy leap year! |

Is it definately your signature, ask to see it and then you will be able to see if someone has forged it or not, you may have to provide them with a sample of your signature so they can compare it. |

I'm in the same boat. But, my question is.
Realistically, I know my package is gone (stolen) - UPS just dropped it off. Since my package was purchased via credit card, what are the realistic chances they'll believe me? I'm sure they get these cases all the time - some are fraud and some are real. How do they decipher these? |

They've delivered it to the wrong address. It happened to me once: I was expecting a parcel, UPS arrived with one, I signed for it (not paying much attention), and after the delivery man had gone, I looked at it, to discover that it was addressed to someone else. On a different street. With a different house number. Of (it gets better) a different gender. And (even better) a different racial group!
I rang UPS (even though the address was only a two minute walk for me), and got them to collect the parcel from me, and deliver to the right address. I wanted UPS to know what had happened.
In terms of your parcel: ask to see the signature and time signed for. If the signature clearly doesn't match yours, and you can prove you were elsewhere at the time, then they have a problem on their hands. |
