Why are there so many bad things said about Wal-Mart??? I mean I work there as a cashier and don't get me wrong I get tired of listening to people argue about expired coupons but as far as bad working conditions or bad managers, I don't have a problem. I also hear people say Wal-Mart is sexest, but the new store they are building has a female store manager and co-manager.....a good part of managment in my store are made up of women.

Yeah, Wal-Mart has some things that need improvement. About the Health insureance, it is 6 months for full time and either one or two years for part time...which is stupid cuz I am not gonna wait 2 years for benefits...so I sent in my applications for insureance to Blue Cross and Blue Sheild the other day...they are not bad...for health and dental it is gonna be like $87 a month. |

When compared to many other jobs, Wal-Mart offers less money and less benefits. A person can sit at a desk answering phones and make $10 an hour, work 8-5 Monday to Friday and have full benefits. At Wal-Mart, the pay is a lot less, you have to work on your feet, at all hours and the benefits are worse. I worked there years ago. Recently I've heard that you have to be there a year before they'll even put you on their health insurance, that the first day your sick you can not use your sick time. You can only use sick time starting the second day. It's not a bad place, there is just a lot less benefits then other jobs. |

i dont think wal-mart :) has bad conditions at all. ive been there 2 days ago to buy some gift card and it was fine out there i even ate at mc donalds. its a really nice place but unfortunatley some people are saying wrong stuff about walmart but they're just rumors i guess.... |

this cashier at the walmart in canal winchester .... I can't tell if its a man or a woman ....
My stepdad worked at walmart when he retired. He had to work with (and he put it this way) "a lot of kids who couldn't hit their butts with both hands".
Maybe I will work there one day. |

Everytime I go in Wal-Mart I get horriable service. Most of the time there are only 2 checkout lines open, and the cashiers don't seem to get in any big hurry, even though there are 50 ppl in their line. And the other day they wouldn't let my friend and I buy a bottle of wine because we had her 5 y/o step-son w/ us. The cashier said she had to ID him before we could buy alcohol! A 5 y/o doesn't have ID!!! |
