Wal-Mart question!!!!!!!!?

ok, so i just want to know is buying a guitar from Wal-mart is a good idea. some people told me that they kind of suck because their strings break quickly.

If you know how to play a guitar then stay away from the Wal-Mart guitars cause yes they are cheap and aren't the best in sound either. However if you are just planning on learning how to play I'd say get one from there because it's cheap just in case you find out you can't get any better or just plain bored with it. It's a good first timers guitar that would be great to abuse until you get better at it to upgrade to a real guitar. (note though on the abuse part they do easily break so don't get too hardcore with it lol)

As much as I like walmart....you really should go to a guitar shop.

Well I had an instrument for the first year I was playing from Wal-Mart it lasted a year and a half. If you are a first time player that's a good idea, if you been playing for a while and know what you want to do then get a better one.

for the price that you're gonna spend at walmart you might as well go to guitar center or some other big box music store and buy an instrument there. It won't be much more expensive if at all.
if you don't have a guitar center or whatever in your town try shopping on any of these web sites

another good one that i can't find right now online is the peavey raptor

and those are most of the really really good starter guitars out there. I know some of them may look less than appealing but they are very good for the money. A lot of amatuers would disagree but if you ask any of the pro's they'll tell you i'm spot on. I've test driven every one of those guitar's and they are all very good for the money and some are even better than guitars 3 times the price.

I myself even bought a yamaha pacifer I liked it so much. If you can't get your hands on one to test drive it out yourself go to youtube and type in the name of the guitar..and review and you'll usually get some videos of ppl playing them...

Walmart is the best place to buy a guitar if you are just starting the instrument. Unless you are an extremely accomplished musician, you're better off buying at a chain store. Also, don't forget Sam's.

If your buying one for your kid then go to "toys r us" if your buying one for u go to "music and art"
