The reason Wal-Mart ran those things out of town is because you people shopped at Wal-Mart and not at these stores you miss.
The thing you fail to see here is that you were surviving before the Wal-Mart. Everyone else was too. Then Wal-Mart shows up and everyone seemingly decides to save a few pennies and runs the other businesses out of town. Look only at yourselves, not the Wal-Mart. |

Yes, Walmarts tends to do do that. In some cities, a lot of existing stores block the stores from opening citing zoning by laws.
If you will lose your shops and jobs, the younger ones will move out after a few years too. Why? who wants to stay in a town where the only place that you can shop is walmart. The only jobs to have- walmart. Move out, leave the ones who like them stay and keep the town afloat.
Radio Shack was not making any more money as a corporation and was already on is way out several years ago. They were seriously bogged down by outdated inventory |

Wal-mart puts other stores out business because they have such a wider variety of products so people shop there more often than they would shop at a specialty store, like Radio Shack. Another reason that they put the smaller chain stores out of business is- because Wal-mart buys their products at a high price and then sells them to consumer at a discounted price. The small stores have to pay more to get their products because they are not a big chain store like Wal-mart. |

It is exactly what has been up for some time now.
Corporate America does not care about the mom and pop stores. The stores that offer you a personal touch. We will remember those days but our children will never know what it was like.
But, because they never know it it will not affect them the way it affect some of us.
We accept growth and we make the best of it. |

the cause of walmart..... itis bad... don't go there..... like 99% of the stuff is made from china..... it's stupid! and plus they had clothing and other things... it's ur one stop store.... but yet it is bad.. DON'T GO TO WALMART!!! |

You cant compare the two. Ford created a lot more jobs and better paying jobs than they took away. As opposed to WalMart they take away more good paying jobs than the add with lower paying jobs so no real progress is ever made. |
