Just about any retailer will ask for basic customer information (name, address, phone....) so that they can document and identify people who abuse their return policy.

Just a signature from you. If you have a receipt you can get money back, otherwise you get a store credit.

A receipt and a valid drivers lisense here on the Gulf Coast. I asked why the DL and was told they checked for bounced checks before returning anything. So, if you buy something at WalMart with a bad check you can't return it for some quick cash, even with a receipt. :)

Normally just need to present a receipt - they will refund only to the original payment - so if you paid cash - you will get cash back - if paid by credit card - refund goes back to credit card

Well if you dont have a reciept they ask for your drivers license number. That should be all. If you have a reciept they dont ask you for anything. If they say you cant return it then cause a fit and the managers will return anything.
