WalMart does have pretty inexpensive prices. However, when the prices go down that low--you sacrifice service sometimes. I have recently been shopping at their grocery store (Super WalMart) and the prices are less--however, they bag groceries really bad. Besides--they have been in the news so much lately because they don't treat their employees very well (especially women) that I'm thinking tha the dime I can save isn't really all that worth it. I'd hate to support bad treatment of employees. Those people need a job like the rest of us and they should have good working conditions. Honestly--Target has prices very similar to WalMart.

The appeal of Wal-Mart is not price so much as convience. You can get almost anything at one place.

It is cheap but so is the quality of the items. Clothing will shrink the first time you wash it,electronics break a lot faster then name brands and other items are cheaply made and will not last. So the prices are cheaper but so is the quality. It is like that old saying. You get what you pay for.

You have to know your prices. They can be inexpensive on a lot of things. I bought a Timex watch on a carabiner to put on my back pack in case I ever left the house w/out my watch. $15.00 with indiglo lighted dial. You have to consider the whole employee issue and stuff like that, but remember you have to find a balance in life. Your money is a resource to and you have to conserve that just as you would a rain forest.

Walmart would like for you to believe that all of their prices are always the lowest. But this usually isn't true.
